I got inspired by Pam’s solution with the aux footswitches so I decided to make a a new pedal board too. This one is build around controlling my HX stomp with aux switches, MIDI and expression pedals. I went with a Temple Audio board because they look great, I love the concept of having a modular/module system and Josh has one too!
Not sure if you can see it on the picture but the mini pedals and the dual footswitch are hold-in-place by a Stomptrap adapter. I can put most mini pedals on it without the need of swapping adhesive plates.
Signal path from bass to amp:
Bass
Cali76 Bass Compressor
Line6 HX Stomp
TC Ditto looper
Amp
The first patch I created on the stomp has the following signal path: basic EQ > EHX Big Muff or Chorus > Reverb > Aguilar DB51 preamp. This is just one of many patches. I’m already trying out new patches with different effects.
All of this is controlled by:
Morningstar MC3 Midi controller
Mission Engineering TT-2 dual footswitch
Mission Engineering Volume/Expression pedal
Not sure if I will keep the expression pedal but it’s kinda cool for WAH and synth stuff. The looper will be replaced because the Stomp has that feature too. With my MIDI controller I can activate the tuner or bypass. This is on my first bank, but I will create more banks for the looper, presets, snapshots, drums, etc. The TT-2 is mostly used for browsing purposes on the Stomp and MC3. The expression pedal actually has a toe switch which is handy for switching between two expressions. All the pedals are powered by a DC7 from CIOKS. I’ve also added the AC power, 4-way jack patch and a USB module.
The power supply is lifted 8mm from the board with 4HEX stand-off screws. That way I can put extra plates between the board and power supply.
The only thing I stil have is to figure out is controlling my drumcomputer via the switches. Let me know if you have any question. English is not my native language so hopefully the grammar is okay… I’ve had lots of fun building this one!
