Literally minutes before checking the forum and reading your post I used the gift card my son gave me to order that very book.
It is really amazing! You’re going to love it!
I need it so I can be tempted to buy more basses!
I gotta tell you as a guy that loves rush and loves music man, I found that book extremely frustrating. Very good but frustrating.
Really? I’d be interested in reading more about why that is!
I just love geddy. His love of basses and his collection is amazing. And I do realize that the book is about basses he personally loves. But it’s also a book about the history of basses. Most people rank the stingray as the third most iconic bass in history behind the fender(s) and Ricky’s. He mentions music man ONE single time, when talking about Leo’s career. He does an entire chapter on some obscure Italian bass nobody has ever heard of . Like I hinted at above, I’m hardly impartial here, it just seems like a glaring ommision.
