Ok, so I decided to take on a fun little project. I bought a Squier Jazz Bass from a friend and upgraded the hardware and electronics. So heres where I started…
I replaced the tuning keys w Fender Geddy jazz keys, and the bridge w a Leo Quan BA2 bridge. I bought the Geddy jazz pickups, but I got scared, so I had a local store install those. Then I replaced the pickguard.
I love it. I love the sound, look and feel. My only regret is that I didnt take pics thru the process
Looks very nice . . . great job, @Krussell29 . . .
Cheers, Joe
What about the bridge? The Geddy Lee has a HiMass bridge
Enjoy!
Wow! Very nice, Krussell29.
I’ve considered buying a Squier Jazz Bass myself, but keep coming back to saving my pennies for awhile longer, then buy the Fender Elite. The Squier Jazz Bass is awfully tempting, though.
Thanks for sharing your masterpiece with us.

I actually tried that first, but it didnt fit quite right. When I took it in to have the pickups and controls installed, the repair guy recommended the BA2 bridge.
