Neil Diamond - Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show

Ok I’m here to stay away from all implications of the song. But how many of you find what appears to be a simple bass line to be rather difficult…tempo changes…volume/intensity changes. This puppy has so many changeups and to some degree odd rests that you find it hard to stay true to the song or even true enough to be a recognizable cover???Again I am new to this so I may not hit the right musical terms for everything…This song attracted my attention for the predominate bass line…but quickly frustrated me with all the change ups…anybody else see what I mean? I mean I love that the bass is so far in front but man I’m having a hard time staying with it…

Are you playing by ear, or do you have tabs?
If you have tabs, can you post them?
Or sheet it you rather, or both

Here’s Neil performing it live. I attended one of his concerts in Chicago and it was awesome. He’s a great performer.

pretty much trying to wing it by ear…most of my toys are at the new house (450 miles away) so I don’t have a screen I can see from a playing position without furniture in the way I’ll dig up the tabs though

Lesson learned…look at some tabs…apparently a whole lot more going on than the little speakers on my computer reproduces or that my damaged hearing can pick out…maybe a lot of both…yep it’s a whole lot busier than what I was hearing…forget the thread I’ll revisit the song when I have something that can make it audible and when I have something I can see the tabs…
