Yep spare batteries are right up there with nail clippers and and emery board for things we do not need often at a session but when we do
I have the Yamaha TRBX304 and the TRBX504. The 304 is active only but the 504 is both active and passive with a switch to select between them. The 504 also has upgraded electronics and pickups. Everything else is the same as the 304.
Also, @kendra.phiri, there’s a massive difference in feel between a Yamaha 304 and a Fender P: Heavier/wider fretboard, chunkier neck, different body ergos, etc. A very different playability paradigm shift.
If you really like your 304’s sound, get a 504. It has a lot of upgrade features, including an active/passive switch so you won’t be completely dependent on a battery ever again.
Also, you’re not required to turn tone or EQ knobs if you don’t want to. They’re just there if you want/need to shape your tone.
I don’t think you can go wrong with MIA fender pro ii the 63 neck is amazing with rolled edges rose wood. this is my second fender. My first The Elite active is way more than I need batteries are a hassle they go dead when left plugged in to amp. Beside that its an awesome Bass I will never part with either one but American pro ii is all I need for my playing needs 63 necks are a gold standard.
I know it but my Bass is usually plugged in because I practice so much sometimes 7 hrs. a day. every day at least 3.5 its around my neck now. if I take lunch I might not unplug it though, love retirement! and you guys.
The batteries in my sire have lasted over a year and a half so far and I changed the battery in my GWB35 bass a year after I bought it because I had no idea how long it was in there
My Yamaha silent guitar eats 9V batteries like Cookie Monster eats cookies
EXCITING NEWS FOLKS! The store had just got in the 4 string version of the Ibanez I really liked. I’m currently playing the heck out of this sexy wood-grained beast. LOVE IT SO MUCH!!
Right? I mean, come on! I dunno about anyone else here, but I’m a bass nerd. When i hear about a new bass, my fingers get itchy. I think he’s keeping us in suspense because he’s enjoying watching us sweat.
