New somewhat sexy bass

Continuing the discussion from Any sexy new basses you’ve got your eye on?:

This is the one I’ve had my eye on for a month. It came in today, I wouldn’t classify as sexy but I’m very happy with it.

1995 Peavy axcelerator fretless, it has a couple of battle scars but the pre amp, fretboard, pickups are in great shape. After a very good cleaning and DiAddirio ECB82’s it sounds terriffic, very vintage.

Love it, that’s awesome This is my grind 6. It doesn’t get the love it deserves, I need to fix that.

Congrats Ron! That’s a sweet looking fretless, and I’ve been eying a Cirrus 5, but it’s a bit early for me to start a collection. LOL

Absolutely not😂. Never too early or late, and the cirrus is amazing and only going to get more expensive so….

I think I’ll at least wait until I’m in module 2 of the course. I haven’t had my first bass for a week after all. : ) It was hard to not click purchase on that Cirrus 5 though, it was about 1/2 price and looked very clean. I’ll wait, and gladly pay a fair price for one when I’m ready though.

Double double I love it. :smiling_cat_with_heart_eyes:

So you’ll buy the second as a one-week anniversary celebration?

It’s possible. : ) Gotta remain stoked somehow.

Nothing like GAS to keep a person stoked

…and?

And that’s the way I like it.

5 strings may be an evolution for some players but 6 is redik…

Love it!

Is this your first foray into the fretless world? I freaking love playing fretless.

No Sir, have played them on and off for years. I have 1 that stays at church that I play there. I started looking for one to keep at home without spending a lot of money and came across this one, took a gamble and ordered from GC, used obviously and it payed off. For what it is I’m very happy with it. I absolutely love playing a fretless.

You’re a Rush guy, and this monstrosity would like to present a counterpoint to your above statement.

Haha, aren’t you the little detective… Would you like a brownie badge or a chest to pin it on? hahaha, that’s funny…

It shows it can happen, these double neck gimmick instruments are also redik, but they do get the people talking.
