The DiMarzio’s will have a very strong and punchy sound and may work well for bass. @terb would be able to say more. I really like the sound of “The Chopper” in particular - though I was looking for guitar at the time.

Here’s a video on a Bronco upgrade. There’s a ton of room for the pickup.
I was recently looking at the Bronco because I got the one pictured offered but it’s from 2020 and a “vintage Bronco” would be kinda fun. Compared to the new line the positive change I see is the 4 saddle bridge. Should be easier to intonate.
But if I was to buy a really inexpensive short scale I would probably prefer the Harley Benton line. They seem to have better hardware, are PJ but you cannot switch between pickups. If you like to MOD…
