If you aren’t using powered speakers they make a version with a small amp on board.
It has connection points that are line level out. If I’m doing a kiosk or lobby or museum display or something I’ll usually put a powered speaker on it.
This one is pricey, small and pretty high quality for its size. There are lower cost options too.

The same company makes a little audio amp board too or Radio Design Labs makes an assortment of little amps depending on how much power you need . . .
I was thinking of an old portable speaker with a 3.5mm Jack. Does that just wire into this bity thing?
oooooh, I did not see the headphone jack - that makes it easy!
Thanks Dave, I will order up one of these asap
Wait a minute @daveT, this is a different one thatn you posted above.
Which one is this?
No wonder I didn’t see the jack - it wasn’t in the one you linked to first!
nevermind found it, and I would want the 16MB one, out of stock - drat.
I will wait, i have time.
Thanks again @DaveT !!
I waste quite a lot of time riding one of six bikes (yes there is cycling GAS). Being quite competitive (once the race starts) means I spend time climbing steep hills, in endurance events on the Manchester velodrome, and trying to trim a couple of seconds off my 40km time.
And yes, at 56 I qualify as a MAMIL.
Hey @Barney , guess what arrived today! I also have my shotski ready.
Superb. I don’t know that brand but a quick Google search lists that boot for 69 Euro. Is that right?
I’m used to paying a bit more for touring gear!
Anyway who telemarks anymore. My knees can’t take it lol.
Silvretta was one of the first brands to make randonee equipment. Remember these things @Barney ?
They got bought out by Fritschi a few years back. I’ve had these boots for 10-12 years, but only used them for two seasons before I moved back home from Poland. So they’re essentially new old stock. Back in the day they were a bit more expensive
I shipped them over this summer and they just arrived.
Been out of the loop for three days but hopefully things are quieter.
On Friday my poor wife was given a “Leave Immediately “ notice after a lightning strike ignited a major bushfire.
We responded within minutes and have spent the last 3 days fighting it finally getting it within containment lines yesterday afternoon.
I can honestly say it was pretty scary at times.
Is your bass ok?
Man, I love you Barney.
First thing in the truck @Barney
Mate, we can see the smoke in Logan!
That’s how big the fires are out West.
It’s bad mate @Gloucestre .
A poor woman and her kid died yesterday adding to the loss of life.
40 homes lost and the weather is set to get worse.
108 active incidents yesterday alone
Bugger mate, apparently there is a cold blast predicted but it will be dry air too.
I was in the Jimboomba Brigade for a while but never had a season with big jobs like this.
