After my thumb surgeries, physical therapy included dipping my hands in hottish parafin wax to coat, then wrapping them in hot towels. It was heaven after an intense therapy session! I feel this will benefit my hands after a bass lesson. I looked online at wax setups, but the units that melt the wax are set at crazy hot settings, 160*! (I cook using the Sous Vide method, and steak is cooked at 132*). I don’t want to cook my hands, so I figured I’d use my crockpot that’s just sitting around. That’s what my therapist used. Guess what I’m asking is anyone else use hot wax therapy? What parafin do you use?
