Is there a way to adjust the amount of gain on a mxr base fuzz deluxe. This song is first played clean. Then 2nd part it gets more aggressive and fuzzy. I understand it’s going to be louder but seems a bit to much.

Then I was thinking about maybe playing clean part with the overdrive on using that gain knob. I ve just gotten comfortable with clicking on pedals without messing up. I dont think I could click off overdrive a hit fuzz and still come in on time. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you

yes, that is what the dry and wet knobs are for, you can turn them both down to reduce output/gain. The trick is to match the volume you hear to the volume without the pedal engaged, then seamless clicking.

Hi, What’s the rest of your setup?

It sounds like what you might want is a little bit of grit from something like a pre-amp box as a regular tone and then switch on the MXR as needed :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you. Ill try that. After I first got the fuzz it seemed like there was way to many options to get what I wanted. But that explains it.
