Has anyone tried neodymium magnets or reusable adhesive pads?
I would think the magnets would cause interference and adhesive pads seem like they wouldn’t stand up to transporting your board.
Any thoughts?

I prefer the hook and loop 3M. They work really well for pedal board.

Be one with the goo and the ‘velcro’, it is a time honored tradition.
Magnets will slide over time I would think.
@Al1885 suggestion is a great one - I would have done that but too far down the velcro goo road, and can’t have 1/2 and 1/2 lol
I think some version of that is what most of us use. I’m looking for any experience with alternatives.
Do you think the 3M brand does better than the off brand stuff.
I’ve been using this one for about a year now. Dig it a lot, I’m going to pick up one of the smaller ones to go with my Helix for my fx loop. No goo.
The hook and loop part I’m pretty sure it’s about the same but the 3M premium brand adhesive is definitely better. I use the knockoff version of the Velcro, the Velcro is fine but the glue just falls off. So for a few bucks more I just pay for the piece of mind.
Thanks Al.
Forgot to address the magnet solution. Funny you also thought of that too, ![]()
It didn’t work out for me. The problem was what and where. I have to figure out where to attach the magnets so it would not move laterally and the next attaching 2 parallel strips did not work out for me plus the feedback by pressing the button is not great because it offer no give. Then it’s the type, rare earth while strong it can be too strong and also quite brittle.
hope it helps.
Yessir without a doubt
I used Stomptrap for my Temple board. Only the bigger pedals use Velcro but now they have bigger ones too.
That’s a cool idea. Bonus points to them for coming up with something original and different.
However, I have to deduct most of those points based on price. An extra $30-40 per pedal is pretty dang steep.
Thanks for sharing that. Cool, but pricey.
Make sure the velcro has a contact patch (adhesion side) way past the point where it connects to the other velcro and use an adhesion aid like Rapidtack.
Have this as well. I like it, but I have nothing to compare it to. I just don’t like the velcro mess.
I usually pick up Industrial velcro from Home Depot. I’ve had some cheaper hook and loop that separated from the pedalboard while it was in my car in the summer heat. So, original Velcro only from then on. No issues.
