The store is on my way home from work. Guess I’ll be leaving early then.
I use a PJB amp every other week during lessons at my tutor’s, and it’s awesome.

I didn’t think I’d see Treforest mentioned here. I spent a month in Nelson in my 20s and loved the area.
Nelson’s ok, but Treforest isn’t the nicest of areas. It’s handy for the train into Cardiff, and my gym is on the Treforest Industrial Estate, about ten minutes walk from A Strings
Nice! I spent most of my time bouncing between the rugby club and the Dynevor Arms. I don’t remember there being much what in Nelson but that was fine with me

This ended up being a pretty decent way to spend a couple hours. I met the man himself and he gave an interesting talk on how it all started and how he came to be where he is today.
I actually found his sales/techy guy, Mike, (American dude, mean bass player) to be more interesting. He was very helpful and patient in talking through amps and pedals insofar as which would be suited to the needs of individuals. Mike also had his MTD headless bass with, awesome piece of kit.
I was a bit miffed that the amp I really wanted to try, the BG-450, sold a few hours before I arrived. It was the only one in stock. Hey-ho. Tell you what though, the BG-120 was frighteningly powerful for such a small unit. I thought my ears were going to start bleeding at one point.
Surprise package of the day was the 35w X4C Nanobass amp. For something the size of a four-pack, it is absolutely incredible:
They also had two pedals with, including the new Boosterooster, which is physically tiny.
There was also a promotion on, namely 10% discount for any amps purchased or ordered on the day. At those prices, 10% is not to be sniffed at.
