I measured my Precision bass pickup and, what do you know…, 10.625" or ~27 cm from the twelfth fret.
I liked the brighter sound of the Jackenbacker - at the same time, the player could pick closer to the bridge and that would do it for me, too. +10 points for the producer knobs.
