Yes, but your example sounds like a synth bass, whereas I think the Modo models are supposed to sound like a real bass (even though synthesized)
I use EZbass for that. It only has two basses but you can shape the sound in the DAW anyway.
(still waiting for the EZdrummer/bass discount)
Also, I hate hardware modular synths. Good luck saving that patch, Porcaro
Alas, poor porcaro
<3 … I am planning on building my “hardware virtual modular” this year’s vacation. I have a little Dell desktop PC, a 24" touchscreen, and an old M-Audio audio interface. I hope to pack it into a rack-mount format and add a usb-midi CV converter so I can connect my virtual modular of choice, Cherry Audio’s Voltage Modular, with the rack of my Behringer semi-modular synths.
That totally seems a good way to go.
I want to try playing around with amp sim plugins. Does anyone know of an amp sim bundle (more than one type of amp) that’s available?
Paging Dr @howard
I would just pick a few amps from plugin alliance instead of looking for a bundle. Think we shared a few free/cheap amp plugins in this thread.
If you are really set to a bundle / ecosystem you could check out Amp Room | Softube
Helix Native is interesting as well but very expensive and it offers much more then only amp sims.
Also similar thread on gearspace: https://gearspace.com/board/so-many-guitars-so-little-time/1311563-bass-amp-sim-plug-ins.html
Some of them do sell bundles but they tend to be expensive. I would also recommend picking amp sims you like. You can try a lot of them before you buy.
One that I really like (actually my favorite) is Kuassa Cerberus. It has three modes - tube, solid state, and a specific kind of solid state. Whole lot of good tones in it; I more or less just use it now.
Paul’s advice is great too. Helix Native would be my recommendation there but it’s really expensive - unless you own a Helix
Amp Room I have heard mixed things about and it has relatively few bass amp sims anyway.
If I were to recommend three off the top of my head that I think you would get some good mileage out of, it would be Kuassa Cerberus, PluginAlliance (Brainworx) SVT-VR, and PluginAlliance (Brainworx) 800RB. You can try them all before you buy.
Speaking of plug-ins, I caved and bought Valhalla Room.
Went back and put it on some of my sax recordings and played around a bit and man o man, I sound like an actual sax player! Lol. Seriously, it’s like the missing link for sax. So much fuller and realistic.
I consider good reverb to be a basic human right
Still need to try this one out!
It’s basically all I use now.
Thank you to everyone! I will check out your suggestions.

They actually sound pretty good.
For sure. I have my eyes set on Ezdrummer first. Still waiting for that discount
