Wow. Vocaloid 6 is getting pretty capable.
cries in Vocaloid 2 Sonika
The Billie Jean cover is really well done, the other examples they made are a bit more autotune.
Can anyone recommend a reverb plugin that works well with Reaper?
I was going to buy it, but then I thought “If it’s not good enough for @Howard…”
It’s actually much better than the ones I am keeping, I just happen to gel really well with MCharmVerb and the Kilohearts reverb and find myself going back to them.
Valhalla has one of the best reverbs in the market imho. I have the VintageVerb and Delay
Question to you all:
What’s the difference between VST and VST3?
VST3 is a newer version of the VST api that offers some new capabilities, so generally should be preferred, but it’s no big deal if a plugin comes in VST format instead.
Similarly, AAX is Avid’s plugin format and is preferred for pro tools, but there is no reason to use AAX over VST in any daw other than Pro Tools.
AU is Apple’s plugin format.
Thanks Howard!
Hey @howard, just got Arturia Chorus JUN-6 for free for buying something else. Do you know this one and is it any good?
Sweet! The Juno Chorus is iconic for synths; I’ve never tried a bass through it though. I have played with it in V Collection and it seems pretty authentic sounding.
It was built in to the Juno so I haven’t seen it used on its own but there’s no reason the plugin would be anything but awesome in other contexts.
Sweetwater?
ya, i got a laptop and wanted the waves compressors on both that and my home PC, but you can only install each licence in one place, so had a giftcard and bought the Waves classic compressor bundle and this came for free.
I’ll have to throw mine on a bass track and see what it sounds like. You would recognize its sound on a Juno.
I was thinking about the Amplitube 5. Any comments on that?
It’s fantastic, I love it. Especially if you also play guitar. It has a lot of bass amps too, and a ton of effects.
