Plugins I Have Known And Loved

Yeah it has a few. Check out “British Blue Tube 30TB” and “British Copper 30TB”.

There’s also “BM30”, which is a combo sim based on Brian May’s setup, apparently, with three amp sims in it. Never tried it.

If I want the neuraldsp parallax plugin what kind of sale should I wait for?

They run sales all the time, I would look for around 50% off.

Any sub octave plugin that does chords and is non glitchy, not trying to simulate boss glitchiness?

Probably but that’s not how I would do it. What I would do is simply copy the track portion you want octaved and lower the pitch of the second copy by 12 semitones (some DAWs have builtins for this, if yours does not then I would recommend Kilohearts Pitch Shifter, which I think is in their free bundle.) Then just mix the tracks at will. In Reaper you could also do this in a single track by applying Region Effects and a wet/dry mix on the pitch shift plugin.

There you go. Perfect tracking

You can also do this to offset by other amounts and make chords.

Ok fine that’s $150 cheaper than getting a used pog pedal and recording both outputs which was the solution I was pretty sure would work that I can’t up with on my own.

Oooh… nice set of free plugins there in that Kilohearts bundle!

I don’t know if anyone else will care about this, but I downloaded one of the neuraldsp amp sims to try out and the metronome is fantastic.

Yes, I realize that being impressed enough by a metronome to say something makes me very weird.

OK, now I’m curious. Which one is it? And why is it awesome?
EDIT: Or is it the same across all of their amp sims? That would make sense. Now I have to go download it.

I’m looking at the Morgan Amp Suite, but I assume it’s the same for all of their plugins.

It has a lot of time signature options, there’s a visual indicator, and it lets you choose from playing the beat from 1/4 to 1/16 notes.

Just a heads up if you haven’t been notified yet yourself:

If you own a Mac/work on a Mac and run any plug-ins from UA or those that are licensed via iLok, you SHOULD HOLD BACK on updating to Mac OS 14.4 for now!

Ahh, iLok

Sweet, that is a nice archetype for guitar! It seems Neural DSP has drastically improved the metronome. Tuner looks better too.

I still hope that they create archetypes for us bass players…

Hey Dave, did you ever dig deeper with these plug-ins??

My bass teacher is constantly raving about them, to the point where I now downloaded all their plug-ins for a one-month trial. Dangerous… as I am really liking what I am hearing.

I am sure I could do with their Essential Bundle (comp, EQ, reverb), but even that sets you back 360 Euro…

I feel like a bumbling moron trying to use high-precision instruments, but even I can get very nice sounding results. I can only imaging what an expert like you could do with those! Check them out if you haven’t already!

They are pretty famous plugins. If you don’t have a graphical parametric EQ like Pro-Q you should absolutely buy it. Or an alternative (iZotope Neutron is a great track channel strip, for example, for a bit less, with a comparable EQ, plus compression and limiting).

I always have one of these on every track. Essential mixing tools IMO.

In particular this is an incredibly useful feature I use all the time.

Yeah, this seems extremely powerful a tool.

Their compressor is pretty stunning too!
