This was great! I liked it a lot.
Thank you! Really appreciate it. Would love your take on our “Just Like Heaven” cover too.
It’s spot on! I don’t know what the process is to program drums, I imagine it’s tedious, but they sound perfect too.
Thank you!
It’s actually quite straightforward to me - basic MIDI sequencing really, given a good drum VSTi or drum machine. However I have been doing that for a long time and started on far worse tools than we have today.
I would say it probably takes me about 45mins to an hour to lay out the basic drum work for a song. Adding fills and so on takes probably about the same.
Here are a couple I recorded at Hotel Studios in Portland, Oregon. It’s quite an avant-garde operation they have going on there.
(And by that I mean I’m traveling for work and I’ve got two cellphones and a laptop with reaper. lol)
Thanks PR!
My rendition of Imagine. If you watch the video while listening to the lyrics you just might come to the same realization that I did… that John was recruiting for some kind of apocalyptic death cult.
Nice!
Little Beatles action here.

Dude, you are on a cover machine roll!
Nice job, always a classic.
This gives me yet another opportunity to mention that I hate guitarists who play bass…
But love the bassist who plays guitar right? This is one of the 2 songs I know on guitar. Wait til you hear the second song, lol.
I was going to do the production on this blackbird with the fretless part. If I have more time these couple weeks I’ll come up with the bass part.
very nice. I wish I could play guitar, but my hands are big and I don’t like finger yoga.
Great job on both covers of “Blackbird”. Very enjoyable.
P.S. That sweater really ties the room together.
Multitasking… testing out the recent 6-sting to tenor conversion and butchering a U2 song… so two birds with one stone really.
I do a pretty wild version of Girls Just Want To Have Fun… but the last time I got into my wife’s makeup she damn near skinned me alive… so here’s the other Cyndi Lauper song I know.
I’m a fixin’ to go to Guitar Center… figured I’d better practice their favorite song.
Here’s a 6-string that I converted to… um… a 6-string.
But now it has 4 courses, tuned C3C3 - F3F2 - A3 - D4.
Nice cover, sounds great!
