You’re not the only one.
@Barney: nice job, love the tone.
Fantastic cover @Vegaswizzle, Great song, so many cool parts and you owned all of them! Also, this settles it once and for all, dish washing gloves have the best tone.
So I’ve strayed away from bass but on the bright side I’m still doing 4 stringed instruments. If anybody wants an exercise in frustration, try putting a bass line to this and quickly realize that my sense of rhythm, or lack thereof, is why I strayed away from bass.
Great finger workout @Vegaswizzle ,
Love the Martian hands:joy:, great tone from the J,
Cheers Brian
Great covers gentlemen!
@John_E . Timing was spot on and I liked the tone on all the covers. SRV really stood out for me but it is a personal favourite.
@Ed . Most groovy baby. Always interesting to hear strange stuff from other countries and I really approve of the shirt.
@dlamson13 . Well played sir. Not a LZ fan but you certainly did the song justice.
@Barney . Good to see you back and firing on all 4 cylinders! Great cover.
@Vegaswizzle . I officially hate you Very talented cover which is well beyond my ability.
And last but by no means least, @Korrigan . Playing and singing! Cool
Great individual style @Korrigan ,
I really liked it very cool,
Chris would be proud
Cheers Brian
Love it @Korrigan
I think you did great.
And you did two things I can’t, sing while playing and playing chords / like a guitar.
Sometimes rhythm can be whatever you want it to be.
Inspired by @JoshFossgreen’s excellent BassBuzz video 10 Songs that Taught Me Bass (Easy to Effin’ Hard) I decided to give Ray Charles a go. Only 4 notes, but man what 4 beautiful notes they are
Still slowly recovering from my injury but this was a fun one to do.
HX Stomp:
Amp - MESA/Boogie® Bass 400+ (channel 1)
Cab - 2x15" MESA/Boogie® 2x15 EV
Comp - Teletronix® LA-2A®
Fender MIM P Bass
GHS Precision Flats
Great job @Barney
4 very funky notes indeed
Your timing was really good.
This would be a good song to learn on your upright @PamPurrs
My compliments to everyone who’s made the effort to record and post a cover during the past few months while I’ve been down. I wish I had the energy to listen to and comment on each one individually, but kudos to all of you.
It’s been nearly 6 months since I posted my last cover, but I shall return some day once I beat this dreadful disease.
P.S. I’ll try to do a better job keeping up with this thread.
man, that would be more expensive for real than with an HX Stomp
otherwise that’s a nice cover @Barney, I really like your use of transition notes.
