That was really fabulous. I think the only rational explanation for this level of competence in a few short years is that your kids must never see you

@Paul_9207 You inspired me to use a pick today. I’ve been practicing Def Leppard’s Hysteria and figured it’s good to try with a pick. It was much harder than I thought!

I’ve been thinking “It’s Okay” would be a fun cover

If I do a ME cover it will be “Gathering Dust” though. One of my favorite songs of all time.

There’s a 4ad compilation of their earlier stuff that is a definite buy. “It’s Okay” is recent, like 2010.

It almost feels like I’m playing some boogie-woogie but on bass instead of piano

Some cool things that I’ve noticed about this song:

Obviously Paul plays with a pick but I also think that he’s muting the strings with his right hand;
He also doesn’t let the notes ring all the way to the end (lots of staccato?).

This might not be the most faithful cover out there, but I for sure had fun!

I don’t have the intention to monetize any of my videos, so maybe that’s why they allowed me to post? But thank you for the heads-up, I’ll keep an eye on it.
