Great job Scott! SRV is one of my favorites.
You really are on a tear, Nice Job!
Love it, I kind of miss playing on a maple neck. My Tele has one, but its been out on loan for a while.
I think 1.5K might be a Klanky part of the spectrum. I like that sound, even if it doesn’t mesh with SRV so much.
I’ve noticed this on all of your STP covers. It looks difficult, but never sounds too busy or flashy at all, just kick ass well written parts. You played it masterfully! Really enjoyed it.
This album was underappreciated IMO, along with “Down On The Upside” also from 96. Music trends were changing, but these bands were cranking out great material yet.
Thanks Jerry! Great song.
Thanks man! It’s fun learning about the EQ spectrum, I have more to learn about that for sure!
Thanks a bunch @g13dip ![]()
correct!
50 Songs Challenge Song no. 22 - James Brown - I Feel Good
Breaking out the P Bass again for this one! Volume and Tone on full and we are running into the Darkglass Microtubes 500v2 with Compression on 25%. Microtubes mode is OFF. From there we are XLR Out to Volt 276 with Vintage ON and GTR Compression setting.
Recorded with Garageband and OBS. Finished with iMovie.
Another great one Scott!
I appreciate it! It must be the whole tall/lanky thing. ![]()
You sound great here! Your playing and fretwork are smooth m.
Nice job @cheeze_pizza, I liked the dramatic finish ![]()

50 Songs Challenge: Song no 7 - The Animals - House of the Rising Sun
I can’t say I had a lot of fun with this one… You can certainly sense my excitement in the video ![]()
Thanks man - I was feeling good! ![]()
It’s quite fun! Give it a try!
So I was listening and browsing in another tab and forgot I was listening to a cover.
Well done @cheeze_pizza !
The tricky bits towards the end can be tough, you did great!
You’re not alone in this opinion
This had been a sort of rite of passage for the 50 songsters. I think the chord progression is interesting and still like it, but I had to take a break from it for a while after recording it. You sounded flawless, glad you got through it!
Great job Scott! Nice tone as well.
Excellent cover Jerry! Fine looking bass and played very well. Thanks for sharing!
