Thanks amigo
Great job @Ant Tim would give you the nod.
Sounds great man. Love the bridge and the outtro. Some tasty fills there.
Good job @faydout that bass sounds really good.
Very well done Ant!
Awesome! Great tone on this one.
Well, this Bee Gees track has been living rent-free in my head for the past couple of weeks since I heard it on Julia Hofer’s (Thomann’s) Bee Gees video so I though I would try and exorcise it with a cover.
Now, I’m only an amateur Gibbologist, but I’ve heard enough to know that Maurice Gibb is / was one of the most underrated bassists ever. Unfortunately, I probably haven’t done him much justice with this cover - I’m still fighting with the controls on my Line 6 a bit and the levels are really too low in parts. I was really after the tone Julia got in her vid -
Maybe I should splash out on that rather tasty Sandberg? Hmmm. Seriously though any tone advice appreciated.
Anyway, Nights on Broadway by the Bee Gees…
Catch the documentary. The stories, the hits, the songwriting. Incredible. Great job. My favorite Bee Gee’s cut (with “I started A Joke”)
Cool!!!
Class!!!
“Red Barchetta” by Rush.
This was by far the best bass cover I’ve done so far, it was near-perfect with only two (known) mistakes. I’m quite proud of this one. Enjoy!
“Tom Sawyer” by Rush
This song is quite easy by Rush standards. Getting through that taking 7/8 part is quite satisfying.
Thanks @booker_t ! Is the documentary “How can you mend a broken heart”? I might give that a go
Hope the knee is feeling better!
That’s some bass playing @Qohelet-David love it. Triple Rush covers so far, I take it you are Geddy’s fan,
@ed that’s fun man. This song is definitely not easy to play with a pick. I added to my playlist.
That was excellent Dan! Really really good playing.
He he thanks . I’m getting into pick playing more these days - I just find it easier than using my fingers …
Well, I’ve had my first video blocked on YouTube, the fabulous AC DC song, Highway to Hell! So does Vimeo work…?
The video is of my drive to the office along the M3, then the M25 motorways in the U.K. the journey is 20 miles / 32 km. sometimes it can take 50 minutes, like it did today, sometimes it can take 2 hours!!
AC DC - Highway to Hell
Playing the Ibanez EHB1000S, through the Hotone Ampero One into GarageBand. Clean tone.
Comments please
Nice work Ed! I haven’t heard this in a long time.
Very well done on both covers @Qohelet-David !
I use Vimeo all the time and only once did they remove a cover of mine (The Monkees’ “Valleri” of all things).
Awesome playing sunDOG although watching the video almost made me car sick!
