Post your covers! (2024)

I’m kinda similar though. I have a stingray for finger style in standard.
A fender jazz for picking in standard, drop d and Eb standard (I haven’t actually dropped it down yet but that’s what it’s for)
The Spector for drop C# and drop C
And a Dingwall for everything B and drop Tuning lower lol

Same, I prefer fingerstyle on my Reverend and pick on my G&L. The Reverend is a 3 pickup Jazz bass and those pickups get in the way playing with a pick, and the G&L doesn’t have anywhere to anchor my thumb when I’'m chugging with fingers.

Thank you, and welcome to the most awesome bass community! I bought my first bass late April, then the Ibanez 5 string middle of August

You are really nailing all of these videos, and fair play on going fretless! That was fantastic, be proud

I do like PINK’s sound, kinda heavy pop, and quite original. Well, played @ChrisoBass, it sounded pretty awesome

One up one down just like I imagined.

I’m mainly a V-drum guy. I love my flexibility. I play (like to play) Simon Phillips open handed style.

That’s off the chart cool :scream_cat: @BumbleJazz

Octave and compressor? How did you make it so dry yet thumpy. I dig it. You and @JustinAndSheba should do a bass off. :joy:

I didn’t get pink but I really enjoyed I remember you.

Such control on your plugging hand. If you haven’t check out Gary Willis method. You are 80% there I tried many time to switch but I’m such an old dog I’m just too stubborn to change. :joy:

I really love your playing style.

@ChrisoBass envious of your pick technique…your wrist has a nice smooth rhythm… nice clean ending!

@AndreaJayne sometimes it is not so much how difficult the groove is , but well you hold down the pulse of the song with that groove and you did a great job.

Too kind Al!

I’ve been stuck on a Mayer Hawthorne song for months now and I can’t seem to get it past 90% speed. It’s been refreshing to do something different and I think I’ll stay on this detour for a little bit.

Thanks for checking it out!

My Nathan East album days were fun I transcribed a bunch of songs but by the time I was done transcribing my interest moved to another songs, combining with the lack of time I’m way way behind on my covers.

As ever, great cover @Ant ! Loved the Foo Fighters and Muse covers too!

Great cover, this one is more my speed  Such a massive sound! Nicely done!

Have been loving your blues covers, this is another great one!

Thanks @Al1885 ! Have always loved the Corvette’s sound, especially with these EB Cobalt flats. Sounds really good IMHO with some distortion/fuzz.

Thanks @saroohoo! It was your recent Audioslave cover that inspired me to give this one a go.

Thanks @BumbleJazz ! I’ve loved that song for a very long time!

Toan for dayz! Another nice cover @cheeze_pizza !

So heavy! Not my typical genre, but you slayed it and the bass was definitely my favorite part!

Great cover, fun to listen to as well!

The hits just keep coming, what a great day in the covers thread! Great job @AndreaJayne !
