I can’t believe the Squier is marketed as a beginner bass - the tone is definitely too good. I guess it must be the technique

Thanks @Ed it’s actually a camera slider.
I just mounted my phone on it and it has a mechanical panning feature so the phone would pan from one end to another. It’s surprisingly easy to use. I thought it would be more complicated. I had this for a month now and just started today,
The Squier actually sounds great stock but I pretty much upgraded everything on it I put an active EMG Stratocaster pickup, upgraded to saddleless Rayross bridge and swapped out the tuners.
Believe me it’s the bass not me,
Yes I improvised the fills a bit. The original is similar but subtle, on the gig it’s easier to do lots of chromatics fills so the singers has something to grasp.

iPhone camera’s are honestly surprisingly good for this! Actually got rid of my dedicated webcam after getting lucky on an insanely cheap iPhone 13

It’s spelled “açai” and is pronounced almost like “a-SAY” if you swallow the “Y”. It wasn’t until I moved to France that I learned how to pronounce it.

I found one! Here in France, no less. 80 € less than the seafoam green I bought last year. The date I found associated with that color was 2021, so my guess is that the boutique has had it for awhile and hasn’t raised the price to the current level. After it arrives and checks out OK, I’m going to sell the seafoam green one.
I went back to the product page and it now says “rupture en stock”, so I got the only one they had!
I love that color!

Last song of 2024 to mark the end of my first year of learning bass. Originally I wasn’t going to learn this because I didn’t think I was ready for it but I felt like I had to at least try to get the hang of syncopated riffs if I wanted to play anything harder or faster.
My December challenge song was actually supposed to be Hysteria but I just don’t have the stamina in my fingers yet so I think I made up for it by learning something about as hard but in a different way and the year I had, I thought this was a pretty fitting song to end on. Onto 2025 for the Dingwall era as I progressively get into lower and lower tunings!
