Thanks my friend! I do love the 80’s, best decade IMO.
“Everything else feels like a warm-up.” Couldn’t agree more!! Haha
And I will! I’ll be posting the full cover soon.
Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass - Butterball
Yeah, I know… another Tijuana Brass cover. But hey, it’s the things that give you joy that counts.
Please enjoy and thanks for watching.

That was awesome, John! Great cover and very uplifting! Do you have the tabs or sheet music for this? I would appreciate it. ![]()

Great work @JerryP The Tijauana brass always remind me of 60s comedys
A bold claim and a fine cover @faydout !
Well played! I must listen to this album.
Guys I’m getting ready for another intensive month-long sprint to boost my playing. This October, I dust off my fingerstyle playing and embark on my Led Zeppathon - a whole month of living and breathing the work of Zeppelin and the amazing John-Paul Jones.
For now though, I thought I would stay with something more mellow - I can see clearly now by Johnny Nash. Not too difficult to play and perfect for a hangover! In preparation for my month of TV-throwing debauchery I strapped on some new Rotosound 77 flats for the 70s rock feel. I’m generally impressed by them, although they are less bassy than my Labellas. They are also quieter, then the rounds, but some playing with the EQ seems to have sorted that.
I can see clearly now - Johnny Nash
Thank you Andrea! Yes, I do have the tab. I’ll message you about it.
Thanks Ed! Yeah, a lot of ‘60s stuff featured TJB songs.
Thanks, Jerry! And I’m so sorry, I called you John in my comment above! ![]()
No worries. I’ve been called worse. ![]()
Great song and great playing! Love the Rotosounds on this. Well done!
Great cover! And beautiful bass too!
