OK BBuzzers,
this is more of an experiment than a cover. This is a simple bass line where the tab was transcribed in an upper pitch/octave/register (not sure the precise term). I recorded both the original tab and one octave lower and mixed both into the track. Let me know your thoughts on the tone. Also, apologies for the poor lighting, not much I can do in this rental.

And yes. I’m either a little ahead or a little behind and it is troublesome to me as I mentioned in my original post having played everything with such precision, albeit as a drummer and over 30 years ago.
One would think I would keep good time, but it’s just off. Any recommendations to improve?

This is a fairly rough first try at this piece, I only started working on it yesterday. Our singer desperately wants to do this for the concerts we have lined up. I need to work on some stuff, but I’m happy with where I’m at, since I’m just starting to get it under my fingers.
