I’m working on something that is “only” 6 minutes and not by Neil Young (or Crazy Horse). I’ve got the bass line down but it’s got a bunch of variations and a few fills that I need to get down before I do that one. The one I just posted was basically cranking out the same bass groove for the first 6 minutes and then some variation at the end (so more of an exercise rather than an entertaining cover).
And you’re right, I missed the opportunity to use sunDOG’s filter again and really escalate things around here!

@JohnF thanks. Yeah that one was a bit of a tricky one. There is one small “happy creativity moment” but overall I’m quite pleased with it. Should’ve mixed the bass a bit higher. I feel I’m getting tighter and can let it shine through a bit more, like i did on Grapevine.

Nothing wrong at all in talking about it. This is such a supportive community, we are here for you. Glad to hear you are getting through it. My bass is what keeps me going through the bad times.
As for the covers, classic Motown is always a crowd pleaser. Heard It through the Grapevine is another one that takes mee back, although only cos it was used in a raisin advert in the UK

Released in December 1987, the raw emotion of this song is fantastic! What an incredible voice! I hope I did the song justice.
Aria Pro II 313 Detroit, through the Hotone Ampero into GarageBand. Regarding the bass…it sounds really good, but it’s currently a pig to play. It’s with the guitar tech, who’s trying to sort it!

I was just going the post a comment about being A Lover Not A Fighter, but when I googled the phrase, this song popped up. So here’s my cover; a bit rough as I first heard the song this morning, ran through it a couple of times, then hit record!
Clearly, I’m playing the Ibanez EHB1000S (into the Ampero, then on into GarageBand). And clearly, I’m using my usual ‘comic’ filter in iMovie

Awesome response…well played for no practice on it. You can keep the filter. But, I feel that I have to respond to your bass cover response via a bass cover response of my own (excuse the lack of practice on this one as evidenced by my wincing several times while I’m playing). The only other problem with this video other than my lack of practice and only doing a quick take is that…now that sunDOG has taken away the filter, I GOT NO FILTER…
