Hi All! This is my most recent cover of “The Fallen Interlude” by Blink182. Not crazy hard but super chill and fun to play.

Ps- turns out YouTube blocked my video because of copy write issues on shorts longer than 60 seconds. Womp womp

Cover: The Fallen Interlude: Blink-182 Trying Vimeo per someone’s suggestion. I hope this works. Also will be recording horizontal from now on haha

Fun tune! Love the variety you pick.

I feel like you are dragging a bit in parts in the beginning esp.

Overall nice job though.

Wouldn’t know it from your playing - great tone and mix and well played. Keep ‘em coming!!

Not much to give - this was excellent!

Nice job - one bit of feedback - your playing note to note is a bit choppy vs. fluid which the tab/song calls for, which is obvious when listening, this changes the drive/groove of the song - more fluid would work best here. Otherwise great work!

You can post on Vimeo instead and share link, happens with some artists.

Thanks for the feedback, I definitely didn’t do it on purpose so I’ll have to work on this!

Thanks! I’ll give it a shot

you know those guys who keep saying they’re going to do something and never do? Well I’m almost ready to record my first cover. HOWEVER, I thought I would post a tab for a song I really like for some reason. I think it’s because the tone is sweet but the topic is dark and contemptuous. On Ulitimate Guitar the bass tab for “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” is for a 5 string. I have a 4 string and the line for the B string was confusing me. The B string D flat is only plucked 8 times so i think a D flat on the A string will do. Maybe someone will find this helpful.

To unconfuse the tab I erased the B String except for the measure where it requires the D flat. The PDF is attached.

I now have 4 candidates in Moises for a cover.

Wouldnt It Be Good - needs more practice

Pride and Joy - just about there

Tin Pan Alley - tough, but with more practice . . .

The Chicken Dance - So simple it gives me the opportunity to improvise.

So as soon as I get back to my home location . . . .

Woulndt it be good bass tabs v3.pdf (1.7 MB)

Excellent playing and tone! Kudos to you, dude. I haven’t even thought of trying to play this one and you pulled it off!

Yeah for sure. I don’t know why this purse was so tough but it took some goes a d a bit of editing to try to get on the beat….

Sepultura - The Hunt. This is a cover of a cover, as the song was originally by New Model Army.

Taylor rocks!! In all seriousness, she writes some fantastic songs, Ophelia being a case in point…

Yep, and I’ve just re-recorded it…!!

And yes, the D-Roc its my current, favourite ever bass!!

Thanks, @beaurapp!

Solid bass playing, @beaurapp! Sounding great and your own line too!! Chapeau!!

Nice and mellow, @BassyBunch! That’s come excellent playing, and love the 'ray!!

Goodness, that’s something completely different!! How cool! And well played @Ed

Welcome to the ‘post your covers thread’, @MrFrench! Nice smooth playing! My only comment is that the audio and video are slightly out of sync - it can be a real pain trying to get things to line up perfectly; I think we all feel the pain there. None the less, a super solid first posting!

Not a song, or a band I know, but I like what I hear! Well played, @TDobbs77, I do like some solid chugging!!

It is interesting to see how other people play a song. We play this in my covers band. Well played, and video in sync with this one!! One minor comment, when I play this, I try to make the notes blend into each other a little more, I try to keep the 8th note heartbeat of the song going, but avoid unintentional muting between notes.

Most excellent, @JustinAndSheba, defiantly got me a’grooving!!

Sadly, ‘Video unavailable’ :frowning:

Super-solid playing, @BassFusion, this one isn’t easy!! Chapeau!!

That bass certainly looks the part for this song!! Well played, @Vader!! Nice aggressive tone too!

Recorded a cover today, posted it to YouTube and it got blocked!!

Ho humm, guess I’ll have to record another!

Song 2 (my Boss ME-90B version) - Blur

Rather frustrated that my planned cover for today was blocked by the YouTube algorithm! So here’s Blur’s Sing 2 again, this time played through the Boss ME-90B. This pedal rocks!!

Oh, and have I told you I love the D-Roc?
