If you can pls take a few minutes and give it a listen. Trying show a little more on the guitar with this one. Hope you like it.
This sounds good.
I really like the lighting and shadows on the video too.
I think i fall in love with every woman in every one of your videos.
Thanks this was one of those where I was excited about it to the point I was making mistakes and had to start everything over…glad I did though
me too…keeps me in trouble with the missus
I really like this one Larry! Great job!
@JerryP I was working through some of this while you were here. Did a lot of editing to keep it from sounding like a 5 minute bass solo…
It sounds great !
I used Roxanne Minerals from the Bolsheviks of Madrid album Sixty Second Chances for the soundtrack on this short video, Skiing Heavenly on March 3, 2025
Hey! Here is a song I released last year! I play guitar and sing in my project, and play bass in a different band where I’m not the lead singer. So I didn’t play bass on this song buut I do love the bass line in it! Hope you like it! Late Bloomer | SONGS OF LLORE
I’m recording some new music this week and would love to record bass on my own songs, but am still not the best at creating “cool” bass lines, so I will likely have a friend who has been playing bass for wayyyy longer than me do it. But it’s definitely a goal of mine to be able to track bass on my own songs in the future. Any hot tips on writing cool bass lines?
@PenelopeJuicebox try writing the bass line first and writing the song around it. Whenever I do this the bass line becomes more melodic and foundational and since you’re not trying to play to an existing rhythm or chord structure you are only limited by your ear and imagination.
Tom Waits for Snow Man
As I mentioned in a previous post, we, Bolsheviks of Madrid (Bret Hamilton and Stev Fargan,) would provide further details about individual tracks from our album, Forever Postage (cover art by Todd Alcott.)
Tom Waits for Snow Man is sort of a traditional vocal track with a few twists.

I liked the floor toms at the beginning of the song. Taiko drums would sound awesome there, too!
@TheMaartian Thank you!
That was cool Stev! I like the drums on the intro. Is that you singing?
Thank you @JerryP
Bret does the singing on this track.
(I wrote some lyrics and sang vocals on an early demo version of the song. Bret added more lyrics and did a much better job singing the vocals on this track.)
Thanks!!
Working on a 5 minute soundtrack that will be used in a video for a Diesel Submarine Short… Got most of the tracks recorded but may have to do some editing on each, but did manage to put together a rough first draft mix. Did this with my “SWAMPFOX” buddy Ronnie who plays guitar. Ronnie was a Torpedoman and I was an Engineman on an old Diesel Electric Submarine together from 1971-1975 operating off the coasts in the Western Pacific…
On this mix, Ronnie supplied two electric guitar tracks, and I supplied the drums, bass, and acoustic rhythm guitar tracks… Be advised, this is a 5 minute track that is meant to backup a video that will be shown at a U.S. Navy Submarine Reunion… However, that “Last Note” at the end most definitely is the “cherry on top”…
Keep on Thumpin’!
Lanny
Excellent Lanny (Bill)! This should go over very well at the reunion. Where are you having it, Kings Bay?
