80% of Mark King is pretty impressive actually
Yep that is pretty cool
Sounds good, @bernds64! Sometimes, a slower speed can be a conscious (artistic) decision
Thank you guys.
yes @joergkutter but sometimes it is more an orthopaedic than a artistic decision
Question…jamming back and forth in DAW tracks. How do you accomplish this? Splice? Some other method? Been wanting to collaborate.
Usually I’ll make the master project locally, lay down the drum track and bassline, then render it and send him a mp3 of that to use as a backing track. He loads that in a track in the DAW at his place, adds the guitar, and sends me WAV files of the guitar part stems. I’ll take those and edit them in to the master project, then add vocals, mix it, and master it.
Working perfectly for us so far.
Thanks! Have you looked at splice? When I did it was in beta and had some major issues, but that was years ago.
Yep, I am actually a member. Haven’t tried it yet though.
It is really cool in theory…if they got it working it’s quite convenient
Piece I am practicing.

The part I had trouble with was getting my picking hand to hit ALL the notes…was skipping one and pausing…still worked but interrupted the flow
Hi @kerushlow,
sounds pretty solid, plenty of getting around the fret board.
nice 6er,
Cheers Brian
It is as if you hear some chords (a guitar jamming) in your head and you play along to that… I can almost hear them myself
Truth there! I hear lots in my head, just doesn’t always translate to my fingers lol.
Just for fun have another cover in the pipe, now we’re three deep
here’s a snippet:
mixing is crap there, ignore that, just laid down the drums and bassline. That’s a tough one, took many many takes, and it still needs work. I can’t keep that cadence up for long and you can hear slipups in places.
Always loved this song, we might go shoegaze with our cover of it.
Hi! So what song(s) did you choose? Greetings from Austria!
Holy fingers, @howard, those are smoking fast fingers! Bitch’n!
Speedy work out Howard @howard,
Like the tone👍
Cheers Brian
Thanks! That’s a tough one for sure, definitely the most technically challenging I’ve tried yet.
I can only keep that up for a few bars before it starts to go south. So you’re hearing a bunch of takes there. Still, super fun.
Working up to play that one live is gonna be a challenge.
I’m pretty happy with that too. That’s basically my TRBX into some multiband compression and an amp/cab sim. I really love the amp sim I am using, I think it gives a really nice tube tone.
@joergkutter Here you go man working my way through Beatrice. I have worked up to the solo but haven’t got it down to time yet. I am also trying to commit it to memory which my old brain is not what it used to be. So here is the practice fragment with the walking bass line.
Good playing! To this day that style of walking bass, jazz stuff is just not in my wheel house.
