Is that a Hot Rod Lincoln?
Probably not, but can’t help the song popping into my mind right now… Beautiful rides.
Regarding the money pit comment, vintage cars make bass gear look cheap

I see Victoria on the plate, do you come from the land down under?

Absolutely love these ugly ducklings. I remember sitting in one of these and wondering why I could see the road through the floor haha. French old timers and rust…

I love it. The only way this could be more French was if Laurent was leaning against it wearing a stripy shirt with a baguette under one arm. Parfait!

Love it!
Back in the mid 80’s my father had a Renault 4 van for his business.
I recently decided to try to find one to restore and maybe paint in the Renault ELF Yellow/White/Black racing colours, just for the irony.

I quickly changed my mind when I saw the prices they were fetching. :astonished:

When I was really young, my dad had a Renault 10 in dark green. I remember being mad when he traded it in for a first year Datsun B-210 (mainly because I wanted him to buy the 280Z :slightly_smiling_face:)

His looked like this.

B-210s were hugely underrated until people figured them out. They sell now for more than they did back then, usually $5k or so, which is like double their original sticker.

meh, my dad’s looked more like this…

when I wanted him to buy this…

after the B-210 he bought a Mazda RX-7 (mid-life crisis kicked in too late for the 280Z)

They kinda all look like Muppets to me now.

Of course 510’s and Z-cars were better, but the 210 handled great, was fun, and made a great race car. SCCA still races them.

Always loved the RX-7. Actually Mazda in general.

When I was young and living on France, my Mama had a Citroen 2CV, commonly know as Deux Chevaux. It looked like the one below.

my father still has one  a light blue 2CV, in great shape.

I had a B210! Without the awesome honeycomb wheels though. Beat up white with steelies and no reason to go slower than 85 which mine would do happily.

Super underrated cars. So were Corollas but people had figured out that those were actually awesome by the mid-80s. B-210s took until the late ‘80s for people to actually get why they were great.

Oh not this one! Lol

I had a sportier one later on that rocked though.

I suppose you can take the bike away from the rider, but you can’t take the rider away from bikes. To wit, after about 2 years of not riding any bikes with a background in BMX and road cycling and feeling like rotten tar, I just picked up this beauty for some casual and pseudo-sporty riding around the neighborhood and on local MUPs:

This is a 29” Cult Devotion BMX bike. It is super smooth and will be super comfortable once I swap out that integrated seat.

Cool ride but I don’t understand this single speed thing. Not saying I’ve never been into the fixie thing … but … well, why ?

I fully admit that I have never understood fixies. Why do that by choice?
