How does this Player Series Jazz differ from the “standard” PS J bass? I can’t discern a difference other than finish.

I’ve owned both. The Limited Edition is a finish only sold in GC. The rest is the same as the standard PS
The other difference is GC can heavily discount their limited editions so you can get them cheaper. Like my Squier CV 60s P was like $360 on discount. If you’re patient and like the finish you can get a good deal on them.

Player jazz is the current MIM fender, another MIM is vintera there’s no “standard models offer at this time. The player plus is the replacement of the deluxe active. Pretty much color choices.
