Is there any equipment out there that records tabs while playing a song

Yes but and this is a big but, it’s complicated and slow not to mention expensive.
I have a couple of basses with the 13 pin? Connection which allows me to connect to the Roland GR-55 which convert the signals to midi from there you can feed the midi signal to a few apps that can convert to notations. I’m not really a tab reader so I’m not sure what’s the next step.
I know that @fennario once fed the midi to the guitar pro app and get the notes and tabs. Doing it in real time will be pretty difficult but not impossible.
