I think it also shows that several different bass lines are possible here, since people “hear/imagine” different harmonic choices. Some might be more “traditional” in choice, others a bit more “adventurous” (aka “slightly off”).

Also, without any EQ filtering etc to isolate that bass, all the other stuff going on can throw you off - here even more so as the bass plays in a fairly high register.

Maybe we should try some “Transcribe That Bassline” challenges periodically! Even a “simple” riff can be heard in so many ways.

@terb At this point, I would have to record it on my phone. I’m hoping to have the needed equipment by the end of the year to start making some decent recordings.
