RIP Dusty Hill

I saw ZZ Top live way back in '75 when their Fandango album came out and Tush was a big hit on the radio. Good times.

RIP Dusty, and thanks for the low notes.

While I’m happy to hear they had been gearing up for a tour – that’s doubly sucky. :frowning:
Rock in peace, Dusty.

You will be sorely missed.

They said they will still play according to what Dusty would want.

Thanks for the info Gunny. I know they played a concert last night (I think) in Tuscaloosa. My tickets are for the Saturday after Thanksgiving here in Lubbock.

When Dusty was having hip trouble, he gave Billy and Frank his blessing. The new bassist is Dusty’s guitar tech (or Billy’s).

Glad I could help a bit.

Longtime guitar tech, Elwood Francis.
Billy said: “Dusty emphatically grabbed my arm and said, ‘Give Elwood the bottom end and take it to the Top’. He meant it, amigo. He really did.”
