Salvage the Lute? Possible project?

@juli0r well done to get a sound from it. The fret spacing reminds me of a stick Dulcimer. What are the fret spacing’s?

Weird.
Irregular.

I think the frets moved already to a degree compared to how it was intended/setup initially. I can measure in the evening when I finished work. Right now I can post/read a bit on the side but not take an instrument into my hand as it would distract me too much.

You may have set your bridge in the wrong position. On western instruments (guitar, bass, mandolin, banjo, etc) the 12th fret is half of the scale length. On the baglama it’s the 17th fret. So if you measure from the nut to the 17th fret then multiply that distance by 2 you’ll get your scale length. Set your bridge at this distance from the nut. From there you can make small adjustments to the bridge to set your intonation.
