I just heard some samples from tunes for Scott Devineās upcoming fusion album and they sound awesome!
And since no one here gives a crap about Scott Devine or fusion, I thought Iād mention it
Youāre welcome!

I love Scott and am taking lessons at SBL now
I am also doing SBL right now, as a BassBuzz continuation school kinda thing. Heās been talking about it for a while on the podcast. Iām not a big jazz fusion guy, but Iāll give it a listen.
Anybody promoting and providing bass learning material has my respect and what Scott has built really has to be admired. I will say this though, I prefer Joshās style at this point in time in my bass learning journey. Different people respond to different styles I guess - nothing wrong with that.
I look forward to hearing Scottās album
You had me at Jazz Fusion.
Just checked and that below par movie is 27 years old
I listen to metal fusion but thatās different
Not so fast, @joergkutter. I dig all types of jazz, and Iāve been into fusion since its inception. Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Jaco, Mahavishnu Orchestra, et al.
Sorry⦠you lost me there, man
Thanks! So glad I know this now.
Please educate me here⦠Animals as Leaders? Elder?
I am really bad with these classifications
I will see if I can find some clips when I get home, but Diablo Swing Orchestra is an interesting one, Balrog Boogie a song of theirs to check out.
Opeth is another good band, which draws heavily on Jazz Fusion
Bloodywood is a kind of fusion, taking elements from different Indian traditions mixing them with heavy metal and nu metal
