I’ve just dropped off my 20yr old MM stingray for it’s first ever “professional set-up”. It had nothing wrong with it, it played beautifully and sounded sweet. I had to get the Jaco repaired so I thought, why not give this guy some extra business seeing as though he was repairing a bass that cost me $4500 and was now useless. These guys know their art and without supporting them here and there we will lose them. I noticed that you had incorrectly diagnosed how to rectify a fret problem with your bass and this was the reason I was suggesting a professional takes a look.

Lol yeah you caught that… I realized right after I posted that, I should have asked about raising the nut, not lowering it.
This forum is about helping one another, which means asking a lot of questions. My question was curiousity and thirst for knowledge. I wouldn’t call it a diagnosis.
