Still loving these guys. Her bass is a Yamaha BB425X, if anyone needs encouragement to go GAS up a BB :slight_smile:

Didn’t know that band but the singer seemed familiar and everything became clear once he dropped the mask :laughing:

Sounding a little like Nightwish, is she trying to emulate “Floor Jansen” ?

I have a friend that looks a lot like their red-haired guitarist :slight_smile:

@TNKA36, I couldn’t be sure as I don’t listen to Nightwish :sweat_smile:
However, I would think that the singing is different most of the time. She doesn’t push her voice, except for the screams :smile:
I see the roots of their music more in speed metal, though some might call it power metal. Examples of the genre that come to my mind would be Halloween or Blind Guardian (pre-00s).

Such a fun new record they dropped! I’ve been giving it some spins too… This one too. I think this Elephant Tree has been most listened too after the Elder album this year, and the Hum record:

Hey @Gio,
Just started listening to this and my wife asks who is that, I reply they are called
“Elephant Tree “
She replies back they should be “off ya tree”:joy::rofl:
I found it amusing, thought I’d share:grin::woozy_face:
In all honesty sounds pretty good👍

Ha! classic.
I had to sign up for Spotify’s family plan because my tastes were not conducive to family dance parties / drives / listening / anything.
It’s a lonely life in the dark cave of metal.
Lonely and perfect.

The Groove Jyoshi are back, covering Tower of Power again, this time with a sax instead of a shamisen, and two basses.

They have become one of my favorites. Excellent symphonic metal. My favorite is probably still Angreifer:
