"Share some good music" Friday

Now there’s a name I haven’t heard in a long long time. Gary Numan. First live show I ever saw…I think it was at the University of Houston in 1983 or so touring “I, assassin” I think it was. I had that album, plus Telekon and a few others back in the day… Back then he recorded with Pino Paladino.

My favorite tune:

I never could figure out what he was singing about though!

I think most people knew him for “Cars”.

Definitely a pioneer of New Wave.

Yeah I am thinking I am probably buying this release. The sound of his old songs with modern synths is stellar. And he still sounds exactly the same himself.

Just bought the live album. His new studio album seems really solid. Here’s the studio version of the song with his daughter @TNKA36 linked above.

I just discovered the Japanese band Sithter. here is a great sludge/sludgecore album in the style of Eyehategod :

Ooh I hadn’t heard of them. Love the mixing in that track, just exactly like I like the wall of noise versus the vocals. Maybe they could mix up the drums a little, but leave everything else just exactly like it is.

:star_struck:

I don’t really know what I’m doing but hopefully this results in an image. A 1972 release in Britain. A couple of songs got college radio play in u.s.

If you can find a song on Youtube, you can SHARE it and copy the link, then paste the link in here, and it will populate this text window with that song, so others can listen to it. This thread is so you can share the song, artist or album, but it is to share the actual music, so we can hear it.

I mean there really are no rules, its OK to share the photo of the album, so you did nothing wrong, just the idea behind the thread I beleive is to share the music video’s or sound files

Ok I shall try. Also surreptitiously showing off my new ampeg ba210

on another note, if you want to hear some sick bass, if you’ve never heard this song, listen to the opening bass lines, (they actually carry through most of the song), it blows my mind
