Also what a freakin’ awesome massive thread this is
These guys are cool cats.
I’ve seen them twice - I have a brother in law who LOVES them.
I go to see the openers, really. Astronoid opened for them last time. It was super duper cool. Astronoid, that is.
I do like the bass guy’s barefoot vibe. I can get down with that.
Something calmer. Recent indie discovery I made, Bartees Strange.
Check his new album, very varied music.
… and they have just gained a new fan Thanks for posting that!

Tried to post this last week on my phone with no success. So picked a couple funky bass tunes. Happy Friday.

AWB simple but effective bass line.
A few years back Miley Cyrus made an album with The Flaming Lips, and the result was this amazing psychedelic pop and was one of the best shows I’ve ever been to haha
Nathan Navarro is great!
Damn!
Man, some of those covers…
And it’s as easy as that !
We wish .

Very cool. He’s getting some good work out of that Alesis SR-16 too, while doing the pedal dance
Seriously impressive in parts, especially when he’s live-playing the drum machine in seconds between guitar parts.
yeah I loved those two songs especially
and
not a big fan of the vocal lines (too obvious/simple to match the other aspects of his music !) but otherwise I love what he doses !
Listening to the 'placemats a lot today.
My friend calls this the Generation X theme song, and yeah, it’s hard to argue with that. Definitely nailed the time, place, and feeling.

Weirdly I went down the Replacements rabbit hole from hearing Greg Norton (Husker Du) mention them and their little rivalry in an interview. Haven’t listened to them much recently, used to love them though.
