I was thinking about it after @terb mentioned it and I don’t think I can pick a favorite album. All of their albums have some really high moments and also some fairly standard post-metal/post-rock.
Versus or Oscillate are probably the most consistently original, but I think Terrain (from Key) is their overall best work, and In Never Out has some really high points (Jura!) too.
Yes, @joergkutter and @TNKA36, that is Miguel Falcao . . . he is another great bass teacher out there and has taken a particular interest in Chris Squire.
He specializes in Chris Squire bass covers, owns a number of different basses (including a Rickenbacker), and is well dialed into Squire’s signature sound . . .
@T_dub If you get a chance to see Amyl and the Sniffers you should take it. I watched them play a small sweaty venue in London at the end of 2019 and it was a very memorable experience.
