Hey I know this dude from the BassTheWorld. Such an amazing bass player. I always thought he was a class above everyone else on that show (or at least for metal).

Yeah, me too! 
That’s how I came to know him as well. He exclusively plays the Euopean-built Spectors (Czech-made) because of the tone. I finally went and looked at his band and was totally blown away.

I don’t know why, but it never came to my mind that there’s happening any Bass building here in CZ. But while I am browsing now through google and forums, it actually seems that to buy a Czech made Bass isn’t that bad of an idea.

Those Euros a very nice bass, indeed. I’m an old Spector fan, new soon-to-be owner… But consensus is that the CZ models are top-notch and do everything those built in the old New York factory do, just as well. And that’s by and large, across the board with Spector. Made in the US, Europe, Asia, neck-thru, bolt-on, etc… I mean, you pay enough, no matter which, so they should be, heh!

I thought about Spector first. But I actually really am starting to think about pulling the trigger on one of these AV Basses. It’s the similar price and I love what I can see there. Time to research.

One of the first artists I saw endorsing AVs besides the SBL guys was Paul Turner – so, you very likely won’t be disappointed.
Looks like he’s playing a Stenback here, but BOOM - thread’s back on track

Gregor from Basstheworld has one of those, though it’s customised. I think there were plans to build a special BTW model. I’ll try to look it up…

This is incredible.
Best example of the invisible bass player I’ve seen.
Jamiroquai has to literally walk off of the stage, and even then the camera person is just showing the back up singers… like… “what’s happening?? Why isn’t there a singer or guitar player doing something??”
