My favorite artist like that is probably Caro Tanghe, a Belgian blackmetal/blackgaze singer involved with a few bands, primarily her own band (Oathbreaker, seems to be on hiatus) and Amenra.
This one is worth watching all the way through, builds slowly

Yeah, 4 girls, and good music, I did’t think too deep on that one, L7 was first that popped into my mind. I am sure there are far superior comparisons out there.
L7 was pretty kickass. Now I wonder what happened with them.
