Should be a bucket list / life goal type thing. My favorite show was seeing Interpol in early May. It was 35 degrees and snow raining the whole time but the crowd was just so in to it. We al huddled under ponchos together and rocked out with the band.
Ahh, another band it’s been a while since I listened to, along with Lard.
Oh man, that kicks ass! I love the throwback reference at the end.
I lliterally LOLed
Whole thing is great
Just discovered X-Ray Spex on an “women in punk” Arte documentary (might be geo-blocked):

Very cool song - never heared it before … 1977:
The Slits were also in that documentary (Viv Albertine). Very cool lady!
You live in Switzerland, right? You should be able to view that documentary there too!?
The documentary is in German and French … surely you know at least one of those languages!!!
Viv Albertine’s first memoir is excellent - just seen she’s written another one now too, I’ll have to check it out
I’ll give that docu a watch too. I speak bad German
Don’t worry - I worked in Switzerland for several years (Biel). I know that the Swiss also speak bad German
It’s very tough learning Hochdeutsch and then trying to understand people when you mainly hear Schwiizerdüütsch I actually like the sound of it, but still …
Yeah - I speak German perfectly and my French is quite ok (in Holland we have to learn many languages, cause all the foreign movies are not dubbed!).
But during my 4 or 5 years being in Switzerland 4 days a week, I still could not really understand “Schwiizerdüütsch” until the bitter end.
I find it fascinating, that the Swiss speak (and even worse: write) this strange dialect, but they can speak French properly.
Biel is on the French/German language barrier - so I tried to avoid speaking German and switched to French, if possible. I like that language better than German anyway.
I just saw Bikini Kill last weekend. Awesome show, and maybe my favorite part was seeing how many young women there were in the crowd.
