@terb - I was really blown away when I heard this in 1990:
They came to the US for only a few shows, and I got to see them in San Francisco in a 100cap venue on their tour for this great record.
Their bass player got stopped at customs, and had to stay in the UK.
They were still incredible.
A glorious night of music.
A few years ago I went to see them live near Lyon (big city in France) and the concert has been canceled, last minute, because the drummer kinda escaped and no one was able to find him. I talked with his brother who is one of the guitarists of the band (the one with the Telecasterâs), he was very worried. So, with two of my friends, we went for an epic car ride at night to try to find the missing drummer in the city. Sadly we never found him. And the concert never happened. I believe that they cancelled all their upcoming concerts at the time, after this event. A bit surreal.
Bikini Kill was covered by a really young punk band the Linda Lindas in a Netflix movie and reached a new generation
Super intense!
I saw the fallout of that on their social media posts!
That drummer is magnificent - he was my favorite thing about the band.
I really hope theyâre back and healthy and good.
I heard rumblings about a new albumâŠ
Yeah thatâs a great story @terb despite the missing drummer.
Those guys are awesome. I really like them, not sure how I missed them as they are right in my zone.
Really like this
This song is from their last album, Cowboy Music. I bought it day one at the time.
Also I recorded a cover of one of their older songs, a few years ago.
Saw these guys in PhoenixâŠearly 80sâŠjust on a lark.
Had a blast!
Yeah they are legendary live.
Thatâs very nice. Really solid use of the synth.
edit: wow the whole album is great. Thank you Pelagic.
This is exactly the kind of morning music I love to start out a day.
yeah, at some point, good black metal is a no brainer
Wake up, hit play
Couldnât have worded it any better
(Sorry, but that was too good to leave alone)
