5am. Brain not online yet.
Brain to body: “I’m gonna take the day off… have fun!” ![]()
Looking past the inherent weebiness, I honestly think maidcore - and this album in particular - is some of the best new music I have found in a while.
Picture crossing the later IDM artists in the Warp catalogue with modern post-rock, Breakcore, and post-metal. Outstanding use of synths and bass guitar over solid breakcore drums. Just delicious.
ooh post-hardcore and sludge, perfect morning music ![]()
Some classic mid-'90s house:
This is actually Ted Ottaviano, better known in the '80s as the keyboardist/producer for the synthpop quartet Book of Love.
I saw L7, back in the day, they were freakin’ fantastic!!
K… so I missed Friday by a day … ooops.
This is a Canadian power metal band out of BC… Unleash The Archers … I love everything about them… their bassist is a madman!
( they got that Iron Maiden chug goin on in this…
)
They’re in the running for my favorite band. They put on a fantastic show live too!
They’re touring Europe this year ![]()
Should you find yourself with a little more listening time:
Just over an hour of music, and worth every second.
“Friday” and this thread parted ways almost immediately ![]()
(Looks at calendar.)
“Hmmm. So it is Monday. Damn. Well, too late now.”
Unleash the Archers are damn awesome, saw them opening for Powerwolf a few months ago, great show… even accidentally bought 2 shirts (wanted one from each band, but one of the UTA shirts had a big wolf on it and I didn’t pay close attention, thinking it was a powerwolf shirt… lol).
