"Share some good music" Friday

I got to see Marmozets a few years ago. They came to the states (first ever headlining run) on this album cycle and played tiny, tiny clubs. Maybe 70 of us in there. They didn’t have their bass player because of a visa/passport issue.
They crushed.
I really love that band. Also, nice Cave In shout.

Today has 3 same last three letters in common with Friday, so it must be acceptable… that, and I’ll probably forget to post this in two days. Les Claypool from Primus is a bit like marmite, but his songs certainly have a lot of originality to them! Here’s a live one that shows off his techniques.

I am currently strongly into Postrock and I guess sleepmakeswaves is one of the bigger bands, but not sure how many know them around here? I love the bass on this one especially:

I’m amazed I have been ignorant of this genre. It’s very much the kind of music I like. I hadn’t heard of either of those bands. Thanks again.

I recommend you to listen to Red Sparowes, Pelican, Brontide (more shoegaze), and the recent Mouth Of The Architect records if you want to go to the post-metal side  and for real post-metal , Cult Of Luna and Russian Circles

… and I almost forgot my absolute favorite post-rock/metal band : Battle Of Mice ! maybe a little bit sludgy …

also if you want to discover post-rock bands I would recommend this channel : https://www.youtube.com/user/Nemron28/videos

I liked that. My era but I didn’t quite hook into the movement.

Well I’m playing their game with their cards: This is Japan! Mick Karn and his treacly thick & fluid fretless bass.

(possibly not the first time I’ve shared this)

Classic David Sylvian too.

Nice Joe Dart solo at this timestamp…

There’s something about Sweden and heavy melodic rock and metal. Something awesome.

An album I come back to time after time. Not bad for a debut and (mostly) a single musician. Have a listen to the whole album if you haven’t before; the phrase “leave it all on the field” applies to this masterpiece. You can hear his emotion and energy coming through.
