The diversity of musical tastes on this forum is surprising.
The video worked for me though. Also, you have a friend request!

And following up on another discussion (the one where I bought a MIDI keyboard):
You would have to like ambient, though. If you like death metal, and instruments and vocal chords being mauled, this may not be your cup of tea.
Not saying Japan was bad in any way, but Sylvian’s work after he left Japan was just something else, especially for the time. I totally didn’t appreciate it until much later.
She is a beauty, and I always thought Juliette is such a cool name!!
Man, with your talents on the guitar and the bass, I’d be cranking out original music at approximately the same pace you crank out covers ![]()
My big handicap is that I don’t play a “harmony” instrument (keys, guitar, …), which makes composing really tedious!
I totally dig it, @terb
Not a lot of people know that, but I have put up an altar to Jinjer in my basement, and it is the reason why occasionally a pet gets missing from my neighborhood
But, seriously, I can totally appreciate the skills and musicianships of these guys - it’s demanding stuff and they pull it off flawlessly!
Nope, not here either, and the link doesn’t help either if you are not a Facehugger, uhm, -booker!
that’s really great ! loved the song and the video
Thank you for thinking of me @Terb. I love the 5 string bass, but that lead singer seems to be angry at the audience… ![]()
technical-brutal-death metal someone ? … yeah that sounds creepy but still excellent music
and a very very complex bass line
Looks like a BEAD Spector too, nice. At first I thought it was a Warwick Streamer but I don’t think it is.
I haven’t seen any love/hate for Remco Hendriks (also Hendrix) on here. I wish my plucking had had half the talent his thumb has!
Juna Serita (the bass player in the Tokyo Groove Jyoshi videos linked upthread) did a video with three other bassists chilling at home:
I was sure it was a Warwick ! ![]()
The Streamer design is definitely based on that Spector, or one like it
Here’s another case where the album is so good it’s hard to pick one song to play:
yes but …
Another case where the whole album is great

funny enough I had to explain to a close friend (a guitar player) that the “strange” chord at 2:32 was a perfect introduction to what happens at 5:06
funny enough level 2, this same friend shared that :
… and so this friend made me think about Freak Kitchen, a more-than-awesome band (that I saw playing live one time and it was great)
old forgotten song, even forgotten musical style ! … at the the time this was one of the songs which put me into the hardcore/fusion scene … maybe 20 years ago, I feel a bit old right now
might bring back some other 2000’s fusion stuff to light …
