Some nice chord work in Kiyoshi’s latest video.
She certainly makes playing the bass and singing very effortless
They remind me of another post-rock/post-metal band I really like, Syberia:
“17 seconds”-era Cure is my favorite of their work.
Thanks for posting that @howard. A Forest by The Cure is my favourite of theirs.
Mine too! That and my other favorite (Play for Today) are both in there. Excellent Peel session.
Hi @howard,
Love the cure,
Best live concert is live in orange
Cheers
There’s a black metal band, Behemoth, who just released an EP where they cover the tune in their very disturbing and black metal style. Not for everyone, but if that sounds like a good time, check it on out:
Nice! That wasn’t nearly as disturbing as I expected given the disclaimer
Ha! Fair. I had just watched the official music video for the tune. I think it was a reaction to the video more than the tune. For those who want to see robed scary men being spooky on a river bank, go check it out.
What is the deal with all the blackmetal/metalcore videos shot outside in parks. It’s like a common theme.

@Gio
Know the band name but never really took a lot of time to listen to them. That’s not a bad EP. I might delve a little deeper into their back catalogue

Brilliant
From the “this is only interesting to @joergkutter, someone whose name I forgot, and yours truly-dept”, I bring to you Steve Hunt, Jimmy Johnson and Gary Husband, playing a new song called “Carry On”, dedicated to a rather groundbreaking guitarist/composer.
Yes, it is absolutely bass-specific. I mean, Jimmy Johnson.
Ha, I like this category
I am afraid there might even be a “this is really only interesting for @joergkutter” category as well, which my own posts usually manage to belong to
Wow, that string spacing on that 5-string looks really tight! That neck might be narrower than a standard P-bass…
Oh, and great drumming by Gary Husband!
Just a bit of fun…
In the intersecting circles of the Venn diagram that is everyone’s musical tastes, there is a tiny overlapping sector between Slayer fans and B-52 fans… Admittedly a small intersection, but it’s there.
This is for you.
Nice one
