unavailable here, what is it?
Its the siren scene at the river from O Brother Where art Thou.
That movie never quite clicked with me when I first rented it on tape from Blockbuster back in the day. I do know that my dad loves it!
āO Brother, Where Art Thou?ā is an outstanding film. Iāve watched it five times, and counting. The Coen brothers are stellar.
I donāt want to post this in In Memorium and donāt know where else to throw it. Sending Bruce good vibes.
oh fuck
Shop smart, shop S-Mart!
Good, bad, Iām the guy with the gun
Iāve watched all of the Oscars Best Film nominee films. They each are spectacular in their unique perspectives and values.
I love Sinners, though, through and through. Itās broken the Academy Awards all-time record for the highest number of nominations for a single film: 16. Michael B. Jordan deserves the best actor award, and Ryan Coogler is one hell of a fine director, writer and producer.
We watched āGood Luck, Have Fun, Donāt Dieā last night! It was nothing like what I was expecting. It was preety good. No Spoilers since it just hit Amazon.
Good Luck has been on my list. Gonna watch it. Love Sam Rockwell in everything.
You wonāt regret it!
Itās on my list for today or tomorrow.
Sam Rockwell is getting better and better, so Iām curious.
I hope the movie not too Terry Gilliam-like, though I liked ā12 Monkeysā and especially āThe Fisher Kingā, I am not a fan of his ādirtyā styleā¦
Heās amazing. Baron Munchausen was an all time great, Time Bandits was awesome, Brazil as wellā¦
Ah, forgot about Brazil! Great!
The Adventures of Baron Munchausen and especially Time Bandits did not work for me. Also, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus was plain bad.
Not available on any of the normal streaming services in France. The trailer looks like fun, but donāt die. [sigh]
Iām a big Gilliam fan. The Fisher King is one of my favourite movies. Time Bandits is awesome. Recently watched it again and it was just as much fun as when I was a kid. Fear and Loathing is amazing. Even Zero Theorem was good. I get the same kind of vibe from Jean Pierre Jeunetās stuff, which I love. City of Lost Children, Delicatessen, and of course Amelie. Oh, and Guillermo del Toroās stuff too.
The Man Who Killed Don Qixote (neƩ Lost in La Mancha) was going to be great, and the pivot to documenting the cascading failure to make it sounds hilarious.
I actually had no idea Gilliam finally succeeded in making it, 17 years later. It was apparently not great.
